We are so excited to host some of our favorite wineries again in Woodland Park! Our host winery, Aspen Peak Cellars, owned by Marcel and Julie Flukiger, has been producing wines in Colorado since 2009, using some of the most consistent wine grapes in the country.

In September, a runaway semi truck destroyed the Aspen Peak Cellars winery. Luckily, it was early in the morning and no one was in the building! With the help of our supportive Colorado community, plans to rebuild and start over are in the works, and we’re all hoping they’ll be back up and running soon. In the meantime, Marcel and Julie are still selling their inventory at select liquor stores, wine clubs, special events, and Vino and Notes. Make sure to get a bottle while they’re available!

In the winter, keep an eye out for their Snowshoe and Fondue events located just outside of beautiful Bailey, CO.

Another great winery we’re happy to host again is Maison La Belle Vie (French for “House of Beautiful Life”). The owner, John Barbier, grew up in the Loire Valley of France, where his family has been making wine for 150 years. His 4.5 acre vineyard was planted in 2002, and produced its first vintages in 2006. The winery, located in Palisade, CO, offers tastings and great food and wine pairings! Their charcuterie board has a selection of sliced meats, cheeses, olives, fruit, chocolate, and more. Or, if you can’t make it out to Palisade, make sure to come to Vino and Notes for a sample!
